When people first see an expedition truck, the question usually comes quickly: “Why not just use a campervan or motorhome?” It is a fair question. But expedition trucks exist for a completely different purpose. They are not just campers with bigger tyres. They are self-sufficient mobile bases designed for places where infrastructure disappears.

Securing insurance for a specialist overland vehicle is not always straightforward.
